Sony has officially unveiled the RX1R III, the long-awaited third-generation model of its premium RX1R series. Designed for photographers who demand top-tier image quality in a portable package, the RX1R III combines a 61MP full-frame sensor, ZEISS® 35mm F2 lens, and advanced AI processing — all in a compact body.

At the heart of the RX1R III is a 61-megapixel Exmor R™ back-illuminated CMOS sensor powered by Sony’s latest BIONZ XR™ image processor. With no optical low-pass filter and AR (anti-reflection) coating, this sensor captures high-resolution, low-noise images with exceptional dynamic range.
The fixed ZEISS Sonnar T 35mm F2 lens* has been finely tuned for perfect alignment with the sensor, delivering crystal-clear, edge-to-edge sharpness in a slim form factor.
🎯 AI-Powered Autofocus & Versatile Framing
Sony brings Alpha-level AI autofocus to the RX1R III. The camera intelligently tracks eyes, heads, and bodies—even when faces aren’t visible—across both photo and video modes. It covers approximately 78% of the sensor with 693 phase-detection points, ensuring precise focus wherever your subject moves.
Although it has a fixed lens, users can simulate 35mm, 50mm, and 70mm focal lengths using the new Step Crop Shooting feature. Shooting in RAW? You can even switch focal lengths after the shot in post-production.
A built-in macro mode allows for close-ups as near as 20cm with 0.26x magnification.

With 12 built-in Creative Looks, users can instantly apply color styles to both photos and videos. Styles like FL2 (soft and nostalgic) and FL3 (vibrant and punchy) offer unique visual expression — no heavy editing required.
