ZenPad is a newly introduced family from ASUS which started from the ZenPad 7 series, followed by the ZenPad 8. Right after this, to make the missing puzzle complete, ASUS Malaysia have decided to bring in the ZenPad 10 into Malaysia as well. We were given a chance to review it and as usual, we will start off with the Unboxing post.

Let’s just quickly touch up on the specifications. The ZenPad 10 features a 10.1-inch IPS Display with the resolution of 800 x 1280. This tablet is powered by Intel’s very own Moore Quad core processor (Z3560) clocked at 1.8GHz. Under the hood, you can find 2GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal storage with the option of expanding the storage capacity up to 64GB.  The battery capacity is set at 4700 mAh and do take note as the back cover is non-removable, unlike the ZenPad 7.0 and ZenPad 8.0 where you actually remove it and replace with another back case of different color or even Audio case nor power case.

Since the version coming to Malaysia is Z300CL, you can expect it to come with 4G LTE (single micro SIM) capability. Don’t mistake us as this is purely use-able for Cellular Data only, you can’t use the tablet to make phone calls.  The front camera comes with 2MP while the rear camera comes at 5MP. The ZenPad 10 comes out of the box with Android Lollipop 5.01 version. Some other notable features as written on the sticker at the top of the tablet (landscape orientation) are :-

  • Dual Front Facing Speakers
  • DTS-HD Premium Sound
  • 64-Bit Quad Core
  • Visual Master – Tru2Life Technology
  • Corning Gorilla Glass
  • Detachable Audio Dock (optional)

Based on our usage for one day, we realized it is smoother compared to the ZenPad 7.0 that we reviewed before. We were not given the extra optional accessories to play with, however we have requested for it and we will cover it during our full review of the ASUS ZenPad 10. As usual, we will leave you guys with the photos! Enjoy 🙂
